Privacy Policy
Medicus is built for sensitive application work. This page explains, in plain language, how applicant information is handled.
Information you provide
Medicus may collect account information, application details, essay drafts, activity descriptions, secondary essays, audit context, and payment status information needed to provide the service.
Do not upload medical records, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other information that is not needed for admissions review.
How we use information
We use your information to authenticate your account, generate application feedback, maintain review history, provide billing access, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.
Medicus does not sell applicant essays or application materials.
AI processing
Reviews are AI-generated. They are not routinely reviewed, edited, or approved by a human. The relevant materials and application context are sent securely to OpenAI through its API to generate feedback.
OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default. Medicus sets requests so response data is not stored by OpenAI as application state. OpenAI may still retain limited API inputs and outputs in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to protect its services or others from harm.
Avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in drafts or context fields.
AI feedback can be useful, but it may be incomplete or imperfect. You remain responsible for reviewing and deciding what to use.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Medicus does not store full card numbers. Stripe may process payment, fraud-prevention, tax, and billing information under its own terms and privacy policies.
Data retention and support
Your account, drafts, application details, and review history are stored in Medicus's Supabase-hosted workspace database so you can return to them and run a package-level audit. Medicus does not sell applicant essays or application materials.
You can reset your workspace or delete your account from Settings. Workspace reset clears application content; account deletion removes your sign-in, profile, billing records, drafts, reviews, and application data. Some payment, security, fraud-prevention, or operational records may need to be retained where required.
